Soft Skills Vs Tech Skills — The inner battle

It has been long since I started thinking of moving to a new tech blog.

This blog, I had started as a stress buster when our start up was sinking way back in 2014. Things have changed for us personally and career wise. When I look back at the long windedness in these blogs, I feel it is time to get rid of this space.

But, the decision is to retain it. In this space, I never had a mask and it is here that I expressed all my weaknesses without inhibitions. It is here that I connected back with some of my old friends in tech. It is with the help of this space, lot of my friends listened to what I had to say. The contents on this blogs gave us topics to connect again in the world outside the digital space. That way, I have an emotional connect with this space.

In this blog, several times I would have under-minded the importance of soft skills. It was because I felt it is unfair to give more weightage for soft skills than tech skills while recruiting to tech positions.

Working with a truly diverse team, probably I am being reminded of the importance of soft skills once again. As a part of stressing a bit more on those skills, might change the style of writing a bit here as well. Making an attempt to cut down on my long windedness. Hoping that there will be no more rambling here!
